Picture of loose wires?

I lost voltage to some of my 110 receptacles while sitting still in one place. It is not a breaker. I just ran another wire from my power box and now its working fine. I started looking and found these wires. I honestly dont think these wires have anything to do with my loss of power. I took a picture from the outside access door from the bottom up. I cant reach the wires to check them to see if they have 110v or 12v. I think they are dead and left where someone re-wired something. Its a 1994 Fleetwood Coronado with a Dometic refer. What do you think? mtnmanF:\DCIM\100MSDCF

RE: First Christmas away, need advice

The twist? We are stuck in a campground just outside Toronto, Canada for the winter. Daughter and son-in-law are 'snowbirding' down south. Why can't you go south and be with them? mtnman

RE: First Christmas away, need advice

We are the kids now, I dont care if I am 60 years old. The kids (all in their 30s) call us all year long checking on us, leaving messages wanting to know where we are and if we are alright. They tell us to call and check in, we love it!! Last year one daughter bought an RV and followed us to Texas, it was pretty good fun. We left them in Texas and went to Florida for the winter. We were able to enjoy more traveling around home with them this summer as well. If they would all get RVs they could keep up with us better and it would be fun. mtnman

RE: Snowbird without an RV

I thought maybe there was some kind of general snowbird forum on the net where people who didnt own an RV could go and discuss travel and renting options. I did a couple of searches but didnt turn up anything good. mtnman

Yes, I forgot about the park models. Is there just a general snowbird site? mtnman

Snowbird without an RV

How many people snowbird without an RV or know someone who does? How many people go south each winter and rent a house, condo, motel, stay with a relative or whatever else I didnt mention? mtnman

RE: Florida Location

I think there are plenty of neat places in every state to stay at reasonable rates. You just have to visit a place a few times and dig around and find what works best for you. Florida has some very nice places to stay but they are often times hidden treasures such as a city park, county park, state forestry or even some of the federal US forest service cgs. mtnman

RE: Vermont state campgrounds

Hello neighbor, I am planning the same trip for next year. I was going this year but waited until the leaves were turning and then decided it was too cold so I plan to go in the late spring or summer next year. I beleive the State Parks in VT are just like our Nat parks on the Blue Ridge Parkway, they have fresh water and dump only. Some do have hot showers as well but no hookups. mtnman

RE: Indiana State Parks-Another State to Bypass !

I have turned around at more than one state park gate because of the same stupid thing! Good for you, if more people would do U-Turns at their gates this would change. I was in a Colorado state park 3 years ago and they wanted to charge me $5 per day for each licensed vehicle, $5 for the truck, $5 for the TT, $5 for DW motorcycle and $5 for my motorcycle even if we didnt take them off the truck! I argued with the gate keeper for 10 minutes over it before I made a U-Turn out of there. mtnman

RE: Winterizing--blowing the lines out

One thing not addressed. WATER ONLY damages when it freezes because it expands. Having a little water in the lines as long as it does not fill the tube will not be damaged if that water freezes. Since there is air space the water will freeze and because there is space to expand, it will not break anything. When you blow out, you get the bulk of the water and the little "spritz/spray" that is left will not cause damage if it freezes. As to the Plastic water lines used in most RV's now, it will expand a little if frozen, but it is usually the elbows and T's that break when it freezes. Doug Good point Doug!

RE: New Motorhome

Is there a certain percentage of the MSRP that is a good buy or excellent buy?? What do you think? I may just drive my old RV to the dealership and see what happens? Should I leave my checkbook at home or take it with me? Are the dealers offering any real attractive financing plans at this time? mtnman

RE: Whose on the road headed to the RGV?

I think Ron & Shirley jumped the gun and left too early? Now they got everyone all excited and wanting to leave their homes as well. I beleive they are just party animals, out there jumping up and down in front of the gas station over that cheap gas and all. LOL Have fun and be safe. mtnman

RE: Winterizing--blowing the lines out

It seems that all the answers here suggest blowing water up and out the fixtures. It seems to me that it should be blown down and out through the drains. No? The blowing just removes what water dont drain out and what settles in the lines. You cant blow backwards because check valve (one-way valve) Do you try to blow out traps? No, just add a little antifreeze to the traps, (you dont have to taste that) Do you leave the systems open so they have expansion capacity? Yes! mtnman
